Ryan J. Moore
“I’m proud to be part of something that strives to leave this world better off. My goal is to increase our impact to the greatest extent possible, and I believe the best way to do this is by reducing barriers to green building and providing an excellent customer experience.”
Experience:
Ryan has focused on sustainability issues through his work, studies, and volunteer activities since 1987 and brings the breath of his knowledge to bear on a variety of projects including LEED certification, ENERGY STAR for Homes, HERS Ratings, and more. He began his career in building on a residential framing crew where he gained an intimate knowledge of the construction process. His other professional experience includes three years’ service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras working in national park management, Partner and Construction Manager for Tropical Butterfly Farm & Gardens, and Director of Education and Training for the International Ecotourism Society.
Ryan has a passion for building science, building systems to simplify the green building process, and excellent customer service. As the leader of Green Insight, he coordinates strategic direction and helps develop and guide the staff ensuring that Green Insight is the industry leader in customer service.
Ryan founded Air Sealing Authority in 2020 to provide training in air sealing to insulators, contractors, and architects. After over 10 years in the field of teaching installers one-by-one, he decided to bring all the techniques and strategies he has seen success with to a broader audience.
Ryan has served in many volunteer positions including Chair of the Education Committee for the USGBC New Mexico Chapter, board member of the New Mexico Water Collaborative, and board member for Education for Conservation & Sustainability-Rio Platano. He currently serves on volunteer code development committees for the Cities of Fort Collins and Santa Fe.
Approach:
Ryan’s approach is collaborative, both in his leadership at Green Insight and his project work. He believes that great progress is made when working with others, even when this may be difficult. He facilitates high-involvement planning at Green Insight and trains his staff to work collaboratively with our clients to find solutions to problems.
